White Loop - Kinetic Sculpture (2024)

White Loop features a machine endlessly attempting to solve a Rubik’s Cube that is entirely white. This futile cycle raises questions about the nature of meaning in art: does the artwork inherently convey meaning, or is it the viewer who assigns significance to it?

By removing the familiar colored pattern of the cube, the piece strips away indicators of progress or resolution. The machine’s unceasing effort becomes a mirror for the viewer’s own search for understanding, inviting contemplation on the human desire to find meaning where there may be none.
